Treasure Island Book Robert L Stevenson 1st Edition Rare Original box cover

For your consideration is what I believe to be a first edition, green boards book by Robert Louis Stevenson, title Treasure Island. What makes this book very unusual in what I believe to be extremely rare is that it does not have any dust jacket but comes in its original box. Please look at my photographs. I found one other example of this book and that is where I have derived my information from. This book does not appear to have a date, and the story starts on page 5.

The book itself is in excellent condition, there is a minute scratch on the front cover. The pages are all very clean and crisp, with the exception of a few pages on the back three or four have some foxing three of the four pages have no writing on them at all. The pages before that are in excellent condition.

As you can see by my photographs the box does have a little roughness to the corners in the front of the box does have scratches throughout. I have priced this at almost half price of what this other person wanted for the same book. Please read all of the information down below so that you understand exactly how we do business.
