1952 Irwin Man From Mars Plastic Windup Robot 11.25 Tall -w/Original Box-Nice-¡Works Great! Waddling walking action works well. Robot when cranked responds quickly! Has original date printed on box lid of 4/7/52!

MAN FROM MARS - IRWIN - USA. When wound eccentric wheels in the base allow the astronaut to move forward with a waddling action. Hard plastic with clear round dome helmet with rubber antenna. Other color variations are known.

At least two molds were used: one has a larger eagle and clearly defined toes; the other has a smaller, more compact eagle and no toes. The earliest sighting is in the 1952 Blackwell Wielandy catalog. It was widely advertised from November 1953 on.

Robot operates and has both rayguns! Please see pictures for further inspection. This is a rare color for this robot and a rare find for a robot that will be 70 years old in 2022. A genuine rare collectors piece!
