RARE 1945 Lionel 2466W Tender Postwar with Original Box Not Prewar

RARE 1945 Lionel 2466W Tender Postwar with Original Box Not Prewar. This is a rare 1945 only tender with all of the 1945 features. It has flying shoe trucks with the black fiber boards. It has whirly wheels on both front and rear trucks with the thick axles; Black Hand rails, no draw bar, and has a slot in the frame for the long engine draw bar.

This is a rare tender! Whistle was tested and works nicely (will need oiling). Coupler was tested and works nicely. The tender is in excellent condition with strong lettering. There is no rust on the chassis. Note, there is a shiny gloss mark on the top of the tender by the hand rails and side. It appears that it could be from the factory.

Box is in fair condition (no liner) with all flaps in tack. Also, some tape and tape residue is on the box. No sales outside of the lower 48 states.
