C1930 Rare Vintage Art Deco Period Jacobs Concertina/squeeze Box Biscuit Tin

A rare vintage 1920-30s Art Deco period W & R JACOB & CO Ltd hexagonal lithographed figural biscuit tin in the form of a concertina or squeeze box. Apparently, it was made for JACOBS by Hudson, Scott & Sons and is impressed JACOBS BISCUITS on alternate internal sides. It plays various notes when pulled in and out by means of various reeds at one end of the tin although one of the eight reeds is broken and only the very ends of the original leather or leatherette straps remain. It has a length of 5 in (127 mm) in the closed position and a maximum width of 4.4 in (112 mm). Cosmetically, the tin is in good condition overall with some expected surface marks and wear commensurate with age and use and would make a welcome addition to anyones collection, display etc..
