Vintage Very Rare Fairlight CVI-R Computer Video Instrument in Original Box. This is a very rare vintage Fairlight CVI-R Computer Video Instrument in its original box. The box is in pretty rough shape and the touchpad has noticeable wear however the unit itself is in good shape and everything seems to work from the limited testing we were able to do (see photos).

This same model was used very extensively in concerts and promo video creation in the 1980's. The CVI-R was an 8-bit video processing unit which could sample, mangle and overlay images.

Zooms, smears, wipes, multicolour kaleidoscopes and more are created just by selecting a preset and manipulating the controls. This device was known for it's virtual creation of the "80's era MTV Video style" and is still saught out today by people attempting to authentically re-create that style.
