Up for your consideration is a gorgeous 18th C. Indian (Asian) carved wood and brass hinged dowry chest, c. The piece measures 16.5" wide, 13" high, and 10.5 wide.

The piece is completely hand carved, and the metal work shows hand-forged materials, indicating great age. There are a few pieces of brass missing on the box, but nothing significant or distracting. There are also some old repairs, and a thin strip of missing wood, just right to where the bottom of the hingedlid opens (it is relatively insignificant).

The box opens and closes properly, and is a very fine example of an old hand-made Asian artifact with a beautiful form. This quote is for the Continental U. These charges are the buyers responsibility.
