Dinky Toys French Pre War Automobiles Original Empty Gift Set Box 24 Very Rare

This box comes in two parts a blue lift off top and a yellow/brown bottom. We will start with the top half first. The top of the box is scuffed and rubbed mainl to the raised edges. The top bows inwards slightly. There is some top paper missing in places to the top of the box.

Both sides are good but both are a bit scuffed and scratched with some top paper missing in places. One corner has split, two other corners have split in the top paper but the metal support but in all the boxes of this age is holding the other two corners together as it should.

The other corner is ok with some tearing. Both ends of the box are scuffed and scratched with yet more small pieces of top paper missing in places. Both ends rear as the same. Both ends are a bit scuffed and rubbed. The bottom edges of the lid are dented with some scuffing.

The inside of the lid is rubbed with a 243 dinky stamp on it. Now for the bottom half of the box.

All of the top edges are scuffed both sides of the box are rubbed and grubby with some light creasing in places. There is some tearing to three corners in the paper but none look to have been torn. Both ends of the box are good with some scuffing and scratching and some pieces of top paper missing. The base of the box is good with some heavier scuffing to some corners an a few raised edges. There are a few mucky marks to the base.

The inside of the box has two inner tray pieces which will be mentioned below. More pictures of this item can be provided if you wish.

There is a creamy grey card piece which has had the names of the cars written on the little flap in front of where the car should be what they are. There is also a french purple stamp to this in the middle of this inner card packing piece.

1end has a tear in the middle of it which measures around 2cm. The inner packing piece has a few other mucky marks and minor tears and scuffs. The other inner packing piece is the purple stand/rest. Which is a little bowed with some scuffs and small pieces of the top paper missing from it. This item has no cars and is just for the box and inner packing pieces.

The box is a very rare example its not oftem you will find an item like this. This item has some tearing and scuffing but more pictures of this item can be provided if you wish.
