A Very Rare Liberty & Co Tudric Pewter Enameled Jewelry Box by Archibald Knox
For sale today we have this fine and rare Liberty & Co Tudric pewter jewelry box with a spectacular circular enamel panel. Unlike any other enamel panel that I've seen on a Tudric box, this one is very much in an impressionist style with a lakeside scene of 3 dragonflies flying above water lily flowers- this is achieved using traditional enamel methods along with inset foils for the flowers. The box is fitted out with green silk lining and compartments along with a lift out tray. Stamped with it's Tudric model number 0885 and measures 4 square. In fine condition with no damage or repair to either the box or the enamel.
The lining has expected wear. Please take a moment to view my other listings from the rich decorative arts era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
