1964 Summer Olympic Games - Tokyo, Japan OLYMPIC TORCH Complete set with rare original box. Offered for sale is a rare original 1964 Olympic Torch carried in the relay, for the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

This is a rare complete set with the original labeled cardboard box, bowl / handle base , and cylinder. The black circular handle/bowl measures 7.5 (19cm) inches tall by 6.75 inches (17cm) wide, and is engraved "XVIII OLYMPIAD TOKYO 1964" with the interlocking Olympic rings.

The stainless steel cylinder measures 21.5 inches tall (54cm), when inserted into the bowl, the complete torch measures around 25.5 inches (65cm) tall. The bottom of the cylinder is engraved with the 1964 Tokyo Games logo along with SHOWA KASEIHIN CO. There were 870 total runners for the torch relay, this being one of the torches used for it.

The Nippon Koki Company created this uniquely designed torch, and have been commissioned again to create the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games, back in Tokyo, Japan. This will only continue to increase the value of the limited number of 1964 torches still around. Condition: Overall very good condition. Dent in the center of the cylinder.
